I have been working in the animation and computer graphics industry as a 3D artist since 1998. I am Australian with a UK ancestry visa.
My strongest skills are lighting and rendering using 3D Studio Max and Vray, which I developed spending 3 years on the "Cartoon Network" project with Animal Logic Film, for which the team won the Australian Effects and Animation Festival (AEAF) Award and the New York Festivals 2005 Gold World Medal.
Prior to this, our team had won an AEAF Award for our work on the US Discovery Channel, "Extreme Martial Arts" documentary.
I also have strong skills using Eyeon Digital Fusion, after compositing my shots on the Sci-Fi TV series "Farscape" for 3 years with Animal Logic Film.
After 7+ years with Animal Logic Film I joined Frantic Films in their Sydney office, working closely with the Frantic Films developers and VFX for feature film "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium.”
After the Frantic Films Sydney office closure in July 2007, I worked as a freelance artist. During this time I completed a 60 second TVC for the Max Music channel. On this job I created all assets and all lighting and rendering, receiving a Phoenix Film Award and an AEAF Award.
I am currently employed as the lighting lead at Plastic Wax animation studio working on many high profile game cinematics, such as the AEAF award winning "Warhammer 40000" Dawn of War 2 trailer and "Activision" Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. I also weekend freelance, recently completing the second Max Music channel TVC airing on January 25th 2009.
