Jackie Bettington’s Summary
Jackie has extensive experience in applying AS ISO 15489 Records Management to establish best practice recordkeeping in private and public sector Organisations. Initiatives have included applying the complete Designing and Implementing Records Systems (DIRS) method, developing and implementing corporate records programs, records systems, business classification schemes, metadata schemes, functions-based thesauri, disposal schedules, vital information plans, disaster preparedness plans and information systems and information collections inventories; establishing corporate heritage collections; and providing public access services to corporate information; and applying ISO 9000 for corporate document and records management programs.
Recently Jackie has been engaged to design and develop information management compliance tools and programs, information asset management maturity models, eDRMS business cases, implementation strategies for eDRMS and reviewing strategic information management plans. Jackie has also developed records management programs and recordkeeping frameworks for a number of Queensland Government agencies striving for compliance with Information Standard 40: Recordkeeping and the Public Records Act 2002. Jackie has also provided training and formal education in various information management topics.
