April 2004 — August 2008 (4 years 5 months)
I oversaw all technology deployed across the studio & delivered to clients & led the web dev team through standards-compliant, user-centred, user-friendly, and accessible website projects.
I worked at all stages of the development cycle, from ideas, research, and strategy; through scope, architecture, design & development; to deployment, testing & metrics. A champion of User Centred Design (UCD) and web standards as defined by the Web Standards Project, I creatively proved the case to clients that good usability & standards-compliance is also good business practice. I made sure all technology deployed was fit for purpose.
I was instrumental in dispelling a client’s fear of technology by providing a human-centred, best fit solution to each of the challenges defined in a project's strategy. I sat between technology and deployment, channeling knowledge, securing efficient delivery & providing inspirational oversight. Large parts of Hoop's production depended on my technical lead.
