Founder & CEO at Honeysuckle Creek Pty Ltd
Melbourne Area, Australia
I have been involved in the new media and digital content industry since 1990.
As a developer, designer, producer, Executive Producer, General Manager and founder with firms that have included Splatt Technologies, Virtual Realm Xchange (VRX), Caged Productions, Australian Business Theatre, CapitalPR, Hothouse, Next Online, Singleton OgilvyInteractive, The Podcast Network, Principius and Dreampool Digital, my underlying role has always been to promote the value/experience that interactive and digital mediums provide to all of the stakeholders involved.
In late 2006, I founded Honeysuckle Creek Pty Ltd, which is a company with a diverse range of interests, including both digital and realworld projects.
In mid 2007 I became a Director at EYEfi Pty Ltd who design and provide innovative wireless, solar powered video and telemetry assets which deliver critical information to customers desktops.
In early 2009 i formed the first of the businesses owned by Honeysuckle Creek. Upper Yarra Digital Media, which also operates Upper Yarra Web Hosting, and was started to provide a variety of services to community groups and small to medium tourism and retails businesses across rural and, regional Australia.
Another business, DSS46 Digital, which will provide emerging technology consulting and futurecasting services is currently being structured and is planned to launch in early 2010.
In early June of 2009, I launched the first of the non-digital-specific businesses owned by Honeysuckle Creek called "ExpeditionOz Services", which provides a variety of remote expedition and outdoor services. ExpeditionOz Services is also developing a purpose built expedition planning, management and tracking software/hardware package.
I spend a lot of time talking to the media, speaking at conferences and blogging and I am currently a Board Member of the National Executive of AIMIA and also a member of the Internet Society of Australia.

I started "ExpeditionOz Services" to provide a variety of expedition related services for locations both in and out of Australia, which over time will include: Expedition Planning & Services, Online & Offline Mapping, Hosted Expedition Websites, Remote Photography & Video Production, an Equipment Store, Remote Site Surveying and the opportunity for people and groups to join our own Expeditions.
My experience in planning large (size, distance and time) trips for both people and equipment started during my tour and production management roles in the late 1980's. In addition, the skills learned while providing project management duties to large scale real-world and digital projects for both the government and private sectors between 1987 and today are also a very important component of this business.
Over the last 20 years I have also successfully completed many large and difficult expeditions/trips to remote areas of Australia and overseas either by vehicle or on foot.
With all of the experiences and various skills gathered over the years I am also developing a purpose built expedition planning, management and tracking software/hardware package.

As the General Manager at Dreampool Digital my role was to ensure that we were well positioned to break new ground in the digital content creation and distribution industry.
We achieved this by providing access to quality content which was being created by one of Dreampool Digital's sister companies, Dreampool Productions (for main-stream-media in both Australia and in global markets), and by also creating digital-specific-niche-channels that we planned to deliver to an increasingly content hungry and technology savvy audience.
We were working on providing access to this content via both in and beyond the browser technologies such as the web, desktop applications, mobile devices, home media centers/gaming consoles, in-vehicle and other out of the home platforms.
Dreampool Digital was re-integrated into Dreampool Productions in late 2006.
