LION - feel free to contact me.
I have worked throughout the whole Systems Engineering life cycle from requirements to maintenance at some point in my career. Right now I am focusing on how to improve the quality of system requirements to answer the question "Are we building the right system?" I plan on working on my PhD and Consult on Requirements, Requirements Management, and Requirements Validation.
Systems engineering is the independent engineering process from the problem and solution space that utilizes Best Practice principles and methodologies to successfully engineer systems that meets stakeholder requirements and maximizes value delivered to stakeholders (Customer, End User, and Company) in accordance with the system's goals.
Systems Engineering's main purpose is to engineer complex and enterprise solutions to solve Human problems.
Requirements Engineering (Gathering, Analysis, Facilitation, Modeling, Management and Validation), Systems Integration, Systems Verification and Validation, Knowledge Engineering, Decision Analysis, Technical Management.
(Information Technology and Services industry)
June 2009 — Present (7 months)
Heading up the Requirements Capabilities initiative to improve customers requirements through a set of requirements engineering heuristics. Providing substantial improvement (10 - 30%) of requirements quality through efficient and effective requirement analysis processes and tools.
(Computer Software industry)
March 2009 — June 2009 (4 months)
Consult and provide services in Requirements Engineering, Business Analysis, and Behavoir Engineering for various business and organization software. Help to improve business system requirements, BPM, Enterprise Software.
(Public Company; RTN; Defense & Space industry)
August 2007 — March 2009 (1 year 8 months)
Worked in various roles Bid Proposals, Modelling and Simulation and Requirements Engineering efforts for the last year an a half manly using the Behavior Engineering methodology. Have used Behavior Engineering on seven requirements specifications. To find out more about Behavior Engineering I invite you to read up on this very efficent and productive method to analyze requirements at www.behaviorengineering.org
(Public Company; MOT; Telecommunications industry)
2001 — 2007 (6 years )
I worked as a Systems Engineer developing a variety of small and large systems such as a Telecommunication microprocessors, GPS receiver set, and a city wide mobile radio network. My responsibilities included Lead Systems Engineer, Customer Liaison, Project Manager, Technical Lead, Test Lead, Requirements Engineer and Requirements Manager. The experience I gained from Motorola was life changing in my view of what I thought about Systems Engineering and what I know realize is Systems Engineering. Prior to Motorola I thought following the Vee model was Systems Engineering what I realized then and utilize today is soft skills; such as negotiation, written and oral communication, facilitation, and mediation, are more important in developing a system.
