Adelaide Area, Australia
In 2008, I decided to stop working for other people, and formed Dreamer's Ball Pty Ltd with my wife Anne, in order to pursue opportunities which interest us both.
These opportunities are both within HR/recruitment and outside. most notably with a restaurant acquisition that we have since divested.
PeopleMagic, our HR consultancy, gives us a framework to engage in interesting and challenging work that offers flexible solutions to difficult questions.
I worked on the research and operations aspects of recruitment since 2001.I have expertise in tracking down hard-to-find candidates and in salary benchmarking and consulting. I have often appeared as an expert witness in various Courts on salary and employment issues.
Prior to joining the recruitment industry, I owned a small business for seven years, specialising in market research, general research, information publications and database systems analysis and programming.
I have also taught general research skills, market research, marketing and business legal issues to Small Business Management Trainees as part of a Federal Government Programme.
I am the author of "1001 Nights in The Trans-Arabian Corporation's Boardroom", a book which uses fiction to spark creativity in business operations and career management. I have also written two books on Employment Skills.
Upcoming projects include a TV show and more books!

My book, "1001 nights in the Trans-Arabian Corporation's Boardroom" is a work of fiction that has business, career and ethics information woven into the storylines. Consisting of several layers and twenty fables, it's aimed at people who like to learn about - and think about - business issues but find run-of-the-mill business "how to" manuals far too boring.

I was responsible for development and deployment of all systems and processes for a brand new business led by Adelaide's two biggest names in recruitment!
I headed all non-consulting areas of the business, such as Research and IT. Helped build a team of talented researchers as the business was on the lookout for top quality consulting staff.
