Mark Parker’s Summary

Over the past two years I’ve been busy building Smart Selling into an innovation driven organisation that helps other companies solve complex business problems – ranging from sales strategy, social media, customer acquisition and experience management, and technology use.

During this time I also recognised the growing importance of social media – not as a new form of marketing and PR – but as an enterprise-wide strategy that could deliver sustainable competitive advantage. As I researched this and spent more and more time building my expertise and the skills of the team, I decided to launch an extension of Smart Selling to be our position in the social media world. And so Smart Social Media was born.

I have close to 20 years of sales experience in business to business selling – working both in Australia and internationally in industries such as energy, software, manufacturing, financial services and SME services.

2010 will be a watershed year for Smart Selling and Smart Social Media. We're working hard to remain at the forefront of tomorrow's trends – Enterprise 2.0, Social Business Design, Social CRM, Sales 2.0, and social media in a B2B world.
