The Ideas Group (now The Foundry) was arguably recognised as one of the best retail advertising agencies in Australia. After a number of years without senior managerial expertise I was employed to assist in reengineer the business.
In ten months we added 9 million dollars in capitalised billings (just under a million dollars in net revenue). Accounts gained were Capitan Snooze, DamilerChrysler Commercial Vehicles, The Athletes Foot, AMCAL (projects).
We reduced cost in the Melbourne office by 9% and increased revenue by 26%.
Critical to our success was the implemented of a ‘Skill and Capabilities’ strategy to attract better talent to the agency resulting in the employing of a number of senior staffers who assisted in the growth of the business.
